Copenhagen’s famous shopping
area is located on and around the pedestrian only street Strøget
that runs through the city. Walking along Strøget you’ll
find everything from the latest Danish fashions to tacky souvenirs.
Strøget is crowded day and night. Consequently there
is no better place to take in Danish culture. There are, however,
a number of other popular shopping areas. The area around the
Latin Quarter is perfect for antiquing. Then there is Copenhagen’s
largest department store, Magasin du |
Nord. Here you’ll find goodies ranging from clothing to
dinnerware. Before concluding your shopping spree, be sure to check
out one of Copenhagen’s popular flea markets. One of the more
popular is the Israels Plads located in Norreport.
