Education

  • University of Nevada, Las Vegas - Official web site for the university.
  • Continuing Education - Details on courses, workshops, and programs in academics, business, professional, computers, community interest, and older students.
  • Department of Nursing at UNLV - Offers two undergraduate pathways and two graduate nursing degrees. Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Sciences and Clinical Laboratory Sciences are also available. Programs, affiliated organizations, faculty and staff.
  • Rebel Yell - Twice-weekly student newspaper of the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. [Free registration required.]
  • UNLV Tourism and Convention Department - Part of the Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Study convention and club management, entertainment and event management, leisure studies, hospitality and casino accounting/finance, marketing.

Society and Culture

  • Citizen Review Board - Board of twenty citizens comprised to review complaints against the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
  • GeoParent - Las Vegas - Community links, feature articles, activities for children and a message board for local parents.
  • New Vista Ranch - Residential community for the developmentally disabled.

Museums

  • Las Vegas Natural History Museum - Exhibits include animated dinosaurs, southern Nevada's plant and animal life, international wildlife room, a live shark exhibit, and children's hands-on exploration.
  • Lied Discovery Children's Museum - An interactive educational environment. Tours, parties and workshops.
  • Marjorie Barrick Museum - Located on the UNLV campus, information on art and other exhibits, facility, departments, desert garden, giftshop and desert facts.
  • The Neon Museum - A non-profit organization to preserve and study the area's neon signs. Information about signs on a self-guided tour of Fremont Street, or guided tour at the Neon Boneyard for special groups.
  • Southern Nevada Zoo - Zoological and botanical park offers animals on display, ecological desert tours and other educational activities, and an "adopt an animal" program.
