Getting Around Barcelona

Like any other major cosmopolitan city, Barcelona has several options for transportation – all inexpensive, reliable and efficient.

The city has an extensive and impressive metro system that spreads out to most places of interest. A single metro ride costs EUR1.20 but you can buy multi-day travel cards, starting at EUR9.2. Taxis are abundant in Barcelona as well, and are a better method of transportation after late-nights out. They are distinct (black and yellow) and can be hailed directly on the street. A 15 minute ride will cost about EUR5.
