Thailand Weather

Thailand has hot, humid temperatures that will leave you wishing for a nice cold shower. Here is the summary of what to expect during the year, so you can plan your trip accordingly: March to May: hot and dry; June to October: Rainy; November to February: nild temperatures.

During Thailand’s rainy season, you can expect some torrential rains that last from 30 minutes to 2 hours or no rain for weeks at a time. Rainy season vacillates between dry and heavy rains, so you should be prepared for constant change. If you are trekking in the mountains, be sure to keep hiking boots on and bring a plastic poncho, as the areas can get very slippery and often dangerous. If you are planning to travel by ferry to some of Thailand’s islands, rough seas will often make the travel very unpleasant, especially if you are prone to seasickness. However, during this time accommodations are cheaper, there are fewer tourists and the countryside becomes lush, green and beautiful for photography.
