Rio de Janeiro Weather
During the summer (December through February), Rio can get very hot (40C/100F+).
With humidity in addition, it can be quite stifling. However, the
averages are usually between 60-90 degrees Fahrenheit, with February
being the hottest month (right in time for Carnaval!). December
usually has the highest average rainfall. Air conditioning can be
found in buses, taxis and in most public buildings, but the best
place to cool off is usually the beach. The weather cools down a
bit during the winter months there, but you can enjoy Rio year-round.
With the usually constant climate, you shouldn’t have too
many surprises if you check what the weather should be before arriving
in Brazil.
