Puerto Rico Weather
The tropical weather of Puerto Rico causes variations of rainfall, and unpredictable
temperatures in certain locations of the island. Rain periods occur
during winter months from November to April. Local showers and thunderstorms
happen during periods of hot weather when the land heats up more
quickly than the sea. Monthly mean temperatures on the northern
coast vary between about 80 degrees in August, the warmest month,
to 75 degrees in January and February, the coolest months. Even
though Puerto Rico has more rain than shine, the rain brings out
the great smelling flowers and tropical feel of the island. If you
are looking to get a sun tan plan wisely, you wouldn’t want
to come to Puerto Rico on one of its hurricane seasons. Over all
the temperatures on the island are comfortable.
