I live in Philadelphia but I'm tempted to return to Phoenix for the sole reason of eating at L'Amore. I was staying in Scottsdale in February with a group of 8 guys playing golf in the Phoenix area. Upon the recommendation of a woman working in a pro shop we went to L'Amore. First, the owners and staff could not have been friendlier. A bunch of golfers aren't their typical clientele but we were made to feel very much at home and special. Second and most important, I can't rave about the quality of the food enough. I had a meal of shrimp and scallops over linguini that I dream of 5 months later and the desserts were amazing. I have begged my sister and brother-in-law to drive up from Tucson just for dinner at L'Amore. Who knew that a little restaurant in the corner of a tiny shopping center would provide a meal of this quality. Our group of guys unanimously declared it the best place we've eaten in 8 years of golf travel.

You'll want to return regularly, just to sample the variety of House specials and other culinary delights. We happened on to this local jewel, and returned the following night just to be sure we weren't dreaming. The pasta is fresh and homemade, the sauces are delightful, and the desserts are creative and satisfying. You'll be made to feel like an old friend by the charming owners and wait staff...don't miss it.
Occasionally, you stumble into heaven - in this case Heaven Italiano. Sequestered in a small shopping center this restaurant with its exceptionally fine and richly varied cuisine (exquisite seafood and salads), quiet and friendly atmosphere, and delightful staff and service - well, one trip will make you want to convert! Everything I've tried as been superb - clam linguine is to die for.
I love this place and now schedule as many business lunches as I possibly can in this corner of dining heaven.
