The Philippines has some of the best shopping in Asia. The attraction is on the country’s beautiful handicrafts, woodcarvings, and jewelry. Manila and Cebu are shopping meccas for anyone looking to buy some of these Asian treasures.

Under the Quaipo Bridge, in Manila, you can find many tourist shops and markets. Many sell unique baskets

made of bamboo and palm. These baskets are found all over the world, so expect a nice bargain in the heartland. The Baquio market in the mountain province also has antiques. This market is also home to some of the best silver jewelry in the world. Students are skilled in the art of jewelry making and hone their craftsmanship, as evidenced by the beautiful necklaces and bracelets they create.

In addition to silver, the Philippines contains shell jewelry, mother-of-pearl is very popular. You can also encounter beadwork in other jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, and hair pieces from native tribes.

In Luzon, you can find colorful mats in gorgeous, intricate designs. Every region has a distinct, dramatic patterns and colors. Also, you can find some of the best shoe buys in the world here.

Fabrics and embroidery are internationally recognized. Barong tagalong is popular with the tourists. You can find many handmade clothes, rugs, embroidered clothes, and shirts.
