Situated in the desert of California, this city has friendly weather most months of the year. However, the summer months can become extremely hot, so please carry water and sunscreen. Average temperatures during the winter months range from a high of 70 to a low of 40 in January. During the summer, the city can reach a high of 106 to a low of 64 with hot winds.

Because of the desert locale, however, there is dry air and low humidity, which makes the heat a little more bearable. From fall to late spring, visiting this city is ideal, as the days are warm and not excruciating hot, and the nights are cool, but not too cold to avoid the outdoors.
