Moscow Weather

In the summer expect sunny days that will be warm (around 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit). There will be days when it will rain quite a bit but the weather is generally pleasant. It is almost always partly cloudy so bringing an umbrella, or buying a cheap one on the street, is a good idea.

If you are worried about fashion, most Russians wear pants no matter the temperature. Shorts are distinctly American although they will be more comfortable on especially warm days.

In the winter prepare for snow. The winters aren’t as bitter as legend would indicate. Americans from the Northeast or far northern parts of the country say the weather is similar. Bring a heavy coat, gloves, scarf, hat, boots and thick pants. Planning for the cold is easy if you’re smart.
