Getting Around London

The London metro is properly called the London Underground. The London Underground or the Tube is fast, clean, efficient, and arguable the safest metro in Europe. Passengers are frequently cautioned to “Mind the Gap”. The London Underground is divided into zones. Most of the tourist attractions are within zone 1 and zone 2. Automated ticketing is available at all the major stations. Pocket size metro maps are provided free at the information desks; However, stations and trains are well marked making it easy to get around with or without a map.
