Take some time out from your busy journey through India and enjoy
the underwater creatures that live in Taraporewala Aquarium. Located
on the Marine Drive facing the Arabian Sea, Taraporewala Aquarium
has a great collection of fresh water and sea water fish. Dr. Rajendra
Prasad formally opened this Aquarium in the late 1950’s. The
aquarium has three large rooms where exotic fish and rare species
are displayed to highlight the attractiveness of their appearance.
The large tanks at the aquarium have shark, octopus, and kite fish.
The smaller tanks display corals, worms, sea flower and sea horses.
Pearls, shells and articles crafted from shells are also displayed
here. You can even purchase your own pearl jewelry at the aquarium.
The Taraporewala Aquarium is a great place for families as well
as solo underwater lovers.
