Hong Kong Shopping
|
|
Like New York, Hong Kong’s
streets are full of contrasts, and so are the shops. Fortunately,
budget travelers and high-spenders alike can enjoy the many
niche markets that Hong Kong offers. If you’re into marbled
atriums and designer boutiques, then stay near the Central shopping
district or Admiralty: The Times Square mall and places like
The Landmark, The Galleria, Prince’s Building, Alexandra
House, ifc Mall and Pacific Place are full of designer shops,

pricey brands and exclusive clothing wear.
But if bargain-bin finds are more your style, then you’ll
feel more at ease at Li Yuen Street East and Li Yuen Street West
in Central, where vendors sell low-cost jewelry, toys, clothing
and shoes. Head over to Mong Kok, Kowloon, and you’ll find
an eclectic mix of flower, gold fish and bird markets that provide
great gifts if you’re staying with anyone local. One of the
most popular one-stop-shopping spots, Stanley Market, is located
on Hong Kong Island. Here, you’ll find traditional Chinese
artwork, clothing and collectibles.
