Having dined in quiet a few Michelin Star restaurants over the years, it was with great anticipation that we returned to L\\\'ecrivan after an absence of many years. I can not fault the waiting staff,their welcome,their attention to detail and their level of service was faultless. Our disappointment was as the sheer size of the portions, the flavours were excellant but we were just left longing for more. Our three courses were literally no bigger than three appetisers and having just had two slices of toast the entire day i was disappointed. It requires skill to impart wonderful flavours but it\\\'s very easy to present tiny amounts of food on beautiful large plates. I found myself having to pace myself by cutting my food into tiny morsels in order for it to last more than two minutes per course with a wait of twenty minutes in between.
