Cozumel Weather
Despite being a tropical island, Cozumel has extreme weather conditions.
In December, the temperature can drop as low as a chilly 65 degrees
Fahrenheit thanks to strong north winds, though the eastern side
of the island is a little calmer than the western side. That said,
be sure to pack a light jacket or wrap for when the sun goes down.
May through September see the hottest and most humid temperatures,
with the thermometer reaching higher than 95 degrees Fahrenheit?
The interior of the island, however, feels much warmer than the
coast, which pulls the cool air in from the Caribbean Sea.
The water temperature is warmest from April to September, reaching
as high as 85 degree Fahrenheit. The water temperature drops to
the high 70s in the winter.
Beware of tropical storms, heavy wind and rainfall lasting for
days from mid-September to mid-November.
