Boston Shopping
|
|
The city atmosphere makes almost
any area of Boston a natural place for shoppers to enjoy an
afternoon. Major commercial areas such as Faneuil Hall Marketplace
and Newbury Street give Boston a notorious retail reputation,
however the two types of shopping are very different. While
Newbury Street provides one-of-a-kind boutiques full of original
items, places such as Faneuil Hall Marketplace are made up of
mostly chain stores. For a satisfying mixture of both |
boutique and designer shopping, visit Copley Place and the adjoining
Prudential Center. A day spent at these malls is not for the weak
at heart, as together they form a crowded shopping compound, and exploring
both malls can fill an entire day.
No matter where you shop in Boston, keep in mind there will always
be a lot of walking involved. Wear flats or sneakers to get from
shop to shop, as the cobblestone sidewalks are almost impossible
to maneuver in uncomfortable shoes.
