Located on the Northern side of the downtown parade ground stands
a Tlingit Clan House, with an air handling system that pulls smoke
from the central fire pit straight up the chimney. The hut and the
performance is a traditional way of viewing Alaska’s culture
and all shows are put together and run by members of the tribe.
Sitka Tribe Dance performances only lasts 30 minutes, and includes
a story with three dance numbers, but is guaranteed to entertain
the family. The Sitka Tribe Dance Performances is an affordable
activity for those on a tight budget. Tours and other activities
can also be signed up for in the lobby of the clan house.
