Divers at the Quebrada

The cliff divers at La Quebrada are a veritable Acapulco institution. These divers have been here for decades, with fathers handing down the tradition to their sons. On the steep Quebrada clifs, they learn to climb the cliffs and dive, carefully calculating, so that they hit the water as waves enter the shallow inlet below.

You can watch the divers from.the observation area, which you can reach by taxi, where you will be charged $2, or contact the Mirador Hotel to reserve a space on their terrace for the show, where the cover is $5 (Call (744) 483-1155). There are diving presentations at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, and 10:30.
